Enterprise License for Doximity

Jan 6, 2021 | Optometry HQ Announcements

Due to concerns raised in the field and communicated through leadership, the Office of Connected Care in Patient Care Services has obtained an enterprise license for Doximity Dialer, which allows VA clinicians and staff working remotely to make calls to Veterans that still appear on caller ID to be coming from a VA facility. Previously, this service had been available for free from Doximity, but only through January 1, 2021.

Effective Dec 30, 2020, a new VA enterprise license is in place for calendar year 2021 to provide continued support to staff during the pandemic, particularly those who are teleworking. There should be no disruption of services for the more than 80,000 VA employees who have been using Doximity.

Staff who are already using Doximity should ensure they have a va.gov email address associated with their Doximity account. Any new user should register with Doximity using their va.gov account.

  1. To add a VA email account to your Doximity account from your web browser, simply go to https://www.doximity.com/settings, enter your log-in credentials, and you will see an option to add a secondary email. Note: your va.gov email account may be listed as the primary or the secondary email on the account
  2. Once your va.gov email has been added, Doximity will send an email to that address for verification. Open the email and verify the address. Once done, you should have full Doximity Dialer Enterprise access. There will be no additional notification sent that the account is covered under the enterprise agreement.
  3. If you have questions, you may contact Doximity at dialervip@doximity.com or by calling 650-870-2727. Phone support is available Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. PT or 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. ET.

Please note that OIT is evaluating options for a future VA enterprise solution. Patient Care Services does not have plans to support an enterprise Doximity license after calendar year 2021.

We appreciate those who elevated concerns about the loss of Doximity functions to Patient Care Services so we could address those concerns for the enterprise.
