How to access the Sterile Processing Accountability Tool (SPAT) Metrics Dashboard and Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) Surgery Cancellation Report on the VSSC- VHA Support Service Center website: the link to the VSSC website will also be located on the NPOSP Communication page and can be saved to your favorites.
Instructions from the VSSC home page, click on Healthcare Operations under Facility Administration:
Next, chose either 12SPS – Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) Surgery Cancellations Report or 12SPS- Sterile Processing Accountability Tool Metrics Dashboard.
Once inside the SPAT Tool metrics Dashboard, you can review the facility percentage for each of the sections. The “H” or “L” next to column title indicates if a higher or lower percentage is better. If you would like to learn more about how the percentages are obtained, click on data definitions.
Note: Clicking on a specific facility link will give you the actual numbers that calculate the percentage.
