Notice 22-06 COVID-19 Testing Policy 15 Feb 22
The Office of the Assistant Under Secretary for Health for Operations is sending the below clarification regarding the VA Policy Notice 22-06:
VA POLICY NOTICE 22-06: MANDATORY CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) TESTING PROGRAM FOR EMPLOYEES outlines in Paragraph 3.r.
“Employees who are exhibiting symptoms, were exposed or in close contact to an individual with COVID-19, are part of a high-risk population, or are concerned that they may have contracted the virus can request a test kit. Test kits will be provided to any employee who requests one for these purposes. VA Administrations and Staff Offices with in-house capabilities can provide testing at the worksite.”
VHA is currently offering testing through in-house capabilities only. VHA continues to explore avenues whereby home antigen test kits may be available to employees, and is meeting with Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response to obtain access to home antigen test kits for employees.
Questions can be submitted to the COVID-19 Resource Room (SharePoint).
