What’s Happening? VA is introducing a new Defender Device Control policy called DCV2 to better protect our network and devices from unauthorized USB use. This change is happening to safeguard Veteran and VA data by improving the security of USB device permissions.
How Does This Affect You? If you use USB removal storage or peripheral devices that are not on the VA’s Approved List, you will need a special permission (ePAS waiver) to keep using them. If you do not secure the ePAS waiver, they will cease to work on the Policy deployment date for your region.
