NAVAO Committee Volunteer Options *

Finance Committee - monitors funds, assists the Treasurer in the collection and disbursements of funds, and projects future financial demands and sources for the Association.
Membership Committee - recommends means for membership retention and growth and monitors pertinent data about the membership.
Events Committee - responsible for planning and overseeing all NAVAO functions including the annual NAVAO Business Meeting Reception and Dinner.
Newsletter Committee - responsible for maintaining a formal communications link with the membership and assisting the Newsletter Editor with publishing the quarterly NAVAO Newsletter.
Technology Committee - responsible for communicating with the membership via online technology, maintaining the NAVAO website, suggesting improvement or enhancement, and conducting events requiring technological support as directed by the Executive Committee.
Residency Committee - responsible for the promotion of VA residency programs and to keep the Board abreast of issues pertinent to the residency system.
Professional Relations Committee - responsible for monitoring and partnering with stakeholders on matters pertinent to NAVAO and our members.

Committee appointments are two-year commitments made during election years and announced at the NAVAO meeting during the Academy. Currently, there are no term limits, and terms can be renewed at the discretion of the NAVAO President. A committee chair may contact you when a position becomes available. It is expected that committee members attend the annual NAVAO meeting.
